Salary details: up to £27,300 per annum pro-rata

Richmond University is seeking to recruit a motivated Information Assistant, a key member of the user-facing team to provide support at the library desk on a rota basis and assists with technical, professional and outreach services to ensure the delivery of a professional library provision.

You will have experience of working in libraries, ideally in an educational setting and will have good technical skills, including use of MS Office applications, Library Management Systems and Online Academic Resources. The successful candidate will have good interpersonal, listening and language skills, be able to interact with a wide range of people and show intercultural sensitivity and diplomacy.

You will be able to work independently, taking responsibility for coordination of activities within a specific area, as well as part of a team.

This is a part-time position, based on campus, ideally suited to someone studying toward becoming a qualified librarian. Working days would normally be Monday – Thursday either 0830-1630 or 1030-1800 on an agreed pattern with limited remote working possible only during non-teaching weeks.
